A native of Oklahoma City, cellist Wesley Hornpetrie now enjoys performing, collaborating, and teaching around the Midwest region. She is mostly active as a member of ensembles and collectives, including Girlnoise, Virago, and her new music cello quartet, Hole in the Floor. Most recently, she has collaborated with composers including Bryce Dessner, Annika Socolofsky, Tanner Porter, among others, and ensembles including Roomful of Teeth.

2022 Kresge Artist Fellow, Kaleigh Wilder, is an improviser and sound sculptor. Speaking through the baritone saxophone, her music is born of her embodied experiences—what her hands, ears, and inner child remember. Using timbral extremes that shift between raw and polished, abrasive and sensitive, discomfort and catharsis, Kaleigh channels her lived experiences into sound to communicate viscerally.

Clay is an active composer and director in the Ann Arbor area. His work centers place, nature, and community. His latest project, the Regenerate! Orchestra, aims to create a welcoming space for musicians of all types to connect around mindful sound-making. He dreams of seeing classical music, a discipline long-mired in exclusivity, hierarchy, and professionalism, radically democratized.
